Chapter III

120 River Street.

The building spent half a century as part of The Record newspaper's River Street campus — poured concrete floors, factory windows set high in the walls, steel beams painted black. When the presses went quiet in 2008, this corner of River Street sat empty for a decade.

Tony found it in 2019. What he kept: the bones. What he built: a copper bar, a comal from Michoacán, and a mezcal list assembled one bottle at a time.
